I am working from home and EMIS is working perfectly via VPN and a soft dongle. I have an HID omnikey smartcard reader which I can’t get to work. I have tried to follow the helpful instructions but I keep being told I don’t have .net framework installed. When I go to install it I am told I already have version 4.8 and to work the smartcard you only need version 2.0. Please can anyone help? Thanks
Hi, Thank you for your comments and the question. We’re glad the website is helping. .net 4.8 may be installed but the older version also needs installing – ‘.net 2.0’ is included in ‘.net 3.5’. I have updated the instructions for that here. Microsoft also offer some help here (including a downloadable package rather than activating in Windows itself). Also Dr Kaul created a help sheet that can be found here.
Hope that helps. If you are still struggling, please let us know and we can try to get some more direct advice and help to you.
